The Marriott Residence Inn® in Grand Rapids, MI has received the 2022 PCI Design Award for Best Hotel/Motel Building! The site had been vacant since the 1970s except for a parking structure. Due to its downtown location in the Heartside Historic District, it offered a lot of potential for a mixed-use project. A diverse team crafted a solution for the site that is bringing more traffic to the area: a 13-story Marriott Residence Inn® with 146 rooms and retail space on the ground level.
