The New York chapter of Professional Women in Construction (PWC-NY) is a nonprofit organization that connects women and promotes diversity within the architecture, engineering, construction and related fields. PWC NY offers informative industry programming, exclusive member resources, and leadership and networking opportunities. Each year PWC’s Board of Directors recognizes twenty women under the age of 40 who are excelling in their careers in the AEC industry. The 2024 “20 under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction” recipients were awarded during PWC’s holiday event in December.

“The women honored are making great strides at a young age,” says Gina Rivera, Executive Director of PWC NY. “Celebrating their accomplishments is an ideal way to raise awareness about the many opportunities for women in AEC.”

After a record-breaking number of submissions for 2024, the PWC NY “20 under 40” honorees named are:

“We support young professionals in the AEC industry with mentorship and scholarship programs throughout the year,” adds PWC Board President Schillivia Baptiste. “The 20 under 40 award is another expression of our commitment to encouraging the next generation.”

PWC membership is open to professional women and men, private companies and public agencies in construction and allied industries. Members represent a broad spectrum of businesses including general construction and specialty contractors, architectural and engineering firms, environmental services, suppliers, real estate development, and property management. Because the core client industries have many needs, PWC also draws representatives from the services sector: law and accounting firms, insurance and bonding companies, banks and financial services, graphic designers, printers, computer consultants, travel agencies, marketing specialists and more. Georgia DOT joins 11 states requiring e-Ticketing in 2026

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has launched a statewide e-Ticketing initiative—starting in 2026, all contractors will be required to use e-Ticketing under Section 110 of GDOT specifications. As a first step, GDOT has implemented a dual-ticketing pilot—TruckIT, which requires both paper and electronic tickets.
